Christopher Wood: Requiem
Saturday 27 January 2018    9.30am – 5.00pm    St Michael’s Without, Bath
Workshop Director: Nigel Perrin
Christopher Wood’s Requiem is a compelling and highly accessible piece with echoes of both Rutter and Puccini in its romanticism, which reflects on the nation’s emotions at the passing of the Queen Mother in 2002. In preparation for its first West Country performance, we invite you to join us for our annual workshop – a day of fun, singing and camaraderie, and a highlight of our year – as musical director Nigel Perrin takes us through the work with his customary warmth, humour and musical agility. Choral Workshop 2017 : Dvorak Mass in D

Saturday 28 January         9.30am-5pm

St Michaels Without, Bath

Workshop Director: NIGEL PERRIN
Bath Bach Choir’s famous annual workshop features the Dvorak Mass in D: a beautiful, romantic gem of a piece in which Slavic edginess meets mellifluous, Brahmsian melodies. In this lighthearted study day, you will enjoy discovering wonderful, folkloric choruses you may never have heard before, and everybody gets to sing the solos. Brahms wrote of Dvorak: “The fellow has more ideas than any of us.” We can’t wait to try them out.
To book your place at this fun day of singing with the Bath Bach Choir – with a complimentary winter cocktail – please download the booking form or contact Caroline Gumbley at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
